The title is a little misleading but there were a few facts here that I didn't know - and I thought I knew plenty about MM!! It's quite sad, actually and seems genuine enough...
This info is from a new book that is due to be published, entitled "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe" by J. Randy Taraborrelli.
Marilyn Monroe miscarried Curtis' baby
Friday, August 7 01:00 pm
bangshowbiz.com
Marilyn Monroe allegedly miscarried Tony Curtis' baby. Skip related content

The blonde bombshell - who died in 1962 aged just 36 - reportedly had a fling with the Hollywood actor during the filming of 1959 movie 'Some Like It Hot', even though they were both married to other people.

Curtis, who was wed to Janet Leigh at the time, claims the affair resulted in Monroe getting pregnant.

She told him the news as the pair were confessing their affair to the actress' husband Arthur Miller.

Curtis said: "I was stunned. I just stood there. The room was so silent that I could hear tyres screeching on Santa Monica Boulevard."

But the screen legend, father of Jamie Lee Curtis, was later told by Miller - who consulted Monroe's doctor - that the baby could not be his.

Curtis claims he asked Miller what they should do, to which the playwright replied: "Finish the film and stay out of our lives."
Newly Discovered Photos of Marilyn Monroe Released!

Pretty interesting read! With the exception of a reference, to the alleged JFK affair, they left the tabloid sleaze, out of this article. Unpublished photos of Marilyn Monroe surface The Monroe pictures were "in a warehouse in New Jersey"By Stephanie ChenCNN(CNN) -- They were taken before Marilyn Monroe became branded as the voluptuous blonde who oozed sex appeal in dozens of Hollywood films. They were taken before rumors of an affair with President John F. Kennedy swirled and her mental breakdowns became public. They were taken before the beautiful actress's mysterious overdose that resulted in her death at the age of 36. In a collection discovered by Life.com last month, unpublished photographs of Monroe reveal a softer, more innocent 24-year-old budding starlet in a more peaceful time, before her fame peaked. Her flawless face bears a natural look with minimal makeup, unusual for the star, who was often glamorized in photo shoots with lipstick, designer dresses and expensive jewelry. Monday would have been Monroe's 83rd birthday. In one photo, the young Monroe lies in bliss, reading on a park bench, which editors at Life.com believe was shot at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. In another, her face is serene as she is perched over a bridge barefoot. The shoot, which dates to 1950, was conducted by Life photographer Ed Clark. It's a side of Monroe that the American public has rarely seen. "She hasn't really exploded as a star, yet she was on the brink of something big," says Dawnie Walton, deputy editor at Life.com, a Web site harboring more than 7 million Life magazine photographs. The site was launched in March. "I was amazed looking at her face. Although she looks very innocent, there is something very ... sexy." Last month, Walton stumbled upon the rare photographs while combing through the company's digital photo archives. Apparently, no one at Life.com even knew they were ever taken. Upon investigating the photos, Walton says, she found there were few notes left on the negatives. She says the photos were probably taken for a cover shoot that was never used. Monroe appeared on her first Life magazine cover in 1952. See some of the previously unpublished photos of Monroe » "It just got lost and stowed away," Walton said. "It was just ... somewhere in a warehouse in New Jersey." At the time the photos were shot, Monroe had her first small breakout role as a mistress in "The Asphalt Jungle." The star was better known as a model at the time, though she'd had a handful of cameos in films. Photographer Ed Clark told the Sarasota Herald-Tribune a friend from 20th Century Fox alerted him that the studio had just signed "a hot tomato." "She was unknown then, so I was able to spend a lot of time shooting her," Clark said. "We'd go out to Griffith Park and she'd read poetry. I sent several rolls to Life in New York, but they wired back, 'Who the hell is Marilyn Monroe?' " Full Article:monroe.unpublished.photographs/?eref=rss_showbiz" TARGET="_blank">http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/06/01/marilyn.monroe.unpublished.photographs/?eref=rss_showbiz
Marilyn Gallery Take 5!!! Photographer Bruno Bernard

He has been called the "Rembrandt of photography" and the "king of glamour". Though he also photographed male luminaries such as John Wayne, Gregory Peck, and Elvis Presley, Bernard of Hollywood made his name doing portraits of female stars and starlets of the 1950s such as Anita Ekberg, Jayne Mansfield, Brigitte Bardot, and Marilyn Monroe. He fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s, migrating to California and eventually establishing himself in Hollywood. By the 1940s, he was one of the most sought-after photographers there, with countless celebrities and hopefuls visiting his Sunset Boulevard studio to have their portraits taken. Bernard is remembered as the man who immortalized some of the century's greatest stars and mastered the art of pin-up photography better than any one else." (http://www.marisolecitosuiteofmarilynmonroe.com)

Marilyn and Bruno Bernard in around 1953. Such a transformation from little Norma Jeane!

♥ There are lots more, but this is just a fun way to display her transformation from Norma Jeane to Marilyn Monroe with yet another photographer. She went from a 19 year-old girl next door to a bona-fide movie star in only a matter of two to three years or so. Some say (photographers in particular) that her sadness grew as she became a movie star and her innocence had vanished, but she was still luminous on camera.

Hope you all have a beautiful weekend! Mua!

Want to know even MORE about Miss Marilyn? Things that you didn't know before (even after reading my billion posts about her ).....well then keep reading dahhhlings!!!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

1st Fact: Marilyn reached her full adult height of 5'5" by the time she was ten years old.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

2nd Fact: As I've said before, Marilyn never wanted to be a blonde!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

3rd Fact: During the filming of Niagara, Marilyn was still under contract as a stock actor. Thus, she received less salary than her make-up man.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 4! She was an outstanding athlete (played on her orphanages softball team) and she always jogged and lifted weights, before the "health and fitness" boom of the eighties.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 5! Hollygrove was the name of her orphanage, it has since been torn down and replaced.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 6! Marilyn's first credit card was for Martindale's bookstore. She was an avid reader, so much for the dumb blonde theory.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 7! Marilyn's maternal ancestry was Irish and Scottish.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 8! Norma Jeane's first, solo magazine cover was the April 26, 1946 issue of Family Circle.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 9! In 1962 Marilyn took yoga lessons.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Fact # 10! Marilyn had her hair bleached once a week by the same colorist who had bleached Jean Harlow's hair.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥

Fact #11! In 1962 Marilyn took yoga lessons, but she was always doing calisthenics and studied the body carefully to know what worked for her and what didn't.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠ ♠ ♠ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♠

Norma Jean at Blue Book Modeling Agency.

Marilyn with her au naturale hair color!

Can you pick out Marilyn? How about Tony Curtis?

This picture was taken in 1951, when the budding actors were trying to make their mark, I believe that one stands out just a bit. Remember Tony Curtis said kissing Marilyn Monroe was like kissing Hitler during the filming of "Some Like It Hot"??? I bet he regretted that one.

_____________________________________________________________

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and I hope to post more soon, my next one will be a gallery of Beauchamp's photos of her!

What do you think about Lindsay Lohan's attempt at recreating Marilyn's Bert Stern shoot?

Let me know what you think about Lindsay Lohan's attempt at reliving Marilyn Monroe's shoots. I won't make a bias decision because I think you all know what I think about it!!!

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

♥ A little bit about the photographer and his experience with Marilyn Monroe:

"Bertram Stern (born 3 October 1929) is an American fashion and celebrity portrait photographer. His best known work is arguably a collection of 2,500 photographs taken of Marilyn Monroe over a three day period, six weeks before her death, taken for Vogue. Stern published Marilyn Monroe: The Complete Last Sitting in 1992.
